AN OPEN APPEAL FROM PRO-BURMESE

Dear Friends, Nobel Peace Prize Laureate & Jawahal Nehru International OutstandingAward winner, Daw Aung San Suu Kyi’s health condition has beendeteriorating since 7th May 2009. Yesterday (14th May 2009), the Burmese military regime transferred theworld democracy leader, Daw Aung San Suu Kyi to the notorious InseinPrison in Rangoon and made her appeared before a special court forcharges accusing her with fabricated case. She may face a three yearsprison sentence under the pretext that John William Yettaw, a UScitizen came to her house on his own initiative. We, the Burmese pro-democracy activist living in India stronglycondemn the machinations of the Burmese military regime aimed atextending the detention of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi on the basis oftrumped up charges. We are staging a protest demonstration against Burmese Military Junta in Delhi. We seek the much needed support and solidarity. from the Indiancommunity at this time. We look forward for your kind presence at thedemonstration. Date : 16 May 2009 (Saturday) Time : 11:00 am Place : Jantar Mantar Thanking you. Burmese pro-democracy groups
